Emerging Entrepreneurs’ Summit 2019

Emerging Entrepreneurs’ Summit 2019 was organized in 2 days. The first day of the event was designed for team building and introduction so members of all teams had enough time to work on their ideas and prepare for the big day.

On 2nd March 2019 ALPHA Afghanistan successfully organized the second edition of Emerging Entrepreneurs’ Summit at Shaheed Rabbani Education University. The second edition of Emerging Entrepreneurs’ summit hosted 350 delegates, 20+ private sector companies and 10 Speakers and panelists. The second edition of EES focus areas were:

  1. Investment opportunities in Afghanistan
  2. Social entrepreneurship and the opportunities in Afghanistan
  3. Career planning and development opportunities for students.

Keynotes Speakers

  1. Mr. Ehsanullah Mohmand CEO of Dynamic Vision delivered a keynote speech on the topic of investment opportunities at the Energy sector in Afghanistan.
  2. Mr. Omer Ansari CEO of TechNations delivered a keynote speech on the topic of integration of technology in Afghanistan’s business market.
  3. Mr. Samim Oshmand Director of Ozone unite at NEPA delivered a keynote speech on the topic of investment opportunities in the environment sector of Afghanistan.

The summit’s Panel discussion Topics were:

  1. Challenges a Startup face in Afghanistan
  2. How to foster small business in Afghanistan

Panelists

The second edition of Emerging Entrepreneurs Summit provided business idea pitching opportunities for startups, the pitching competition took place among 10 startups and the top 3 business ideas were selected by our judges, these selected startups were:

  1. Birds farming startup
  2. Team Creation (artists)
  3. Team Ataar (Clothing bags)

Beside the Summit we organized a one day career fair for university students focusing on the following points:

  1. Providing job opportunities for recent graduates.
  2. Provided internship opportunities for university students.
  3. Bridging between university students and private sector companies.
  4. Provided business implementation opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
